About Trust
Trust Financial Planning (‘Trust’) was set up by Dan Brittenden in February 2002 with the aim of implementing a Christian vision of holistic financial planning and with the intention of making that vision available to all, regardless of their means. The business was set up first as a partnership then later as limited company in November 2004, with all controlling shares held by Dan Brittenden.
Trust Financial Planning Ltd has not yet paid a dividend but is projected to start paying dividends from April 2028 onwards. Dividends when paid will only be paid in order to repay funds borrowed by Dan Brittenden historically to support the growth and development of Trust. These funds are held by individual supporters of Trust in accounts termed ‘Trust Bonds’ and these funds in their entirety make up Trust’s ‘bondholder funds’. Once all bondholder funds have been repaid, no further dividends will be paid.
Once all bondholder funds have been repaid, Dan Brittenden’s shares will be dissolved and the company will become a ‘Company Limited by Guarantee’ with no shareholders and no future dividend payments. This will enable all future earnings in the business to be reinvested entirely into the furtherance of its mission.
Trust’s vision has developed and grown considerably since its launch in 2002. After more than twenty years, Trust is now poised, with the support of its clients and its investors, to turn that ambitious vision into a reality.
